New Beginings

Well, hello to all from the South. We all arrived in one piece to Augusta, GA. We had a pertty good time driving across country (if you call hearing "Shrek" played on the DVD 100 times a good time). I was definetly a learning experience. I got my very first ticket, for whatelse but speeding. Not much else to do when you're driving through Texas:) So we arrived here mid February and lived in a hotel till the 9th of March. I don't ever want to do that again. After just two days in the hotel we had found a house we wanted to buy. We closed on the house on the 9th of March. We love it. It is in a town called Grovetown. We are the ONLY people living in the neighborhood so far (it's brand new construction). It is nice and quiet out here and so beautiful. We have pretty much finished painting (the girls bathroom is the only room left). We are going to get a fence put up soon. It will be nice to have some privacy from all the construction guys.
The weather is getting quite warm. It was 90 yesterday. Of course Faith loves it. Wiht the warm weather she plays out side most of the afternoon. She loves running through the sprinklers and playing in the kiddie pool with Emma. The girls are growing up so fast. Faith is pretty much potty trained now. I love that I don't have to change her diapers anymore. She loves to talk on the phone, whether it be on the real phone or her play phone (which she never leaves home without).
Emma has started talking. I have to admit that I was a little disappointed that her first word was dada. I had put in a lot of time trying to get her to say mama, but dada came out instead. The girls have gotten really close, mostly inpart because they share a room. They love playing together. Faith loves to play with her like she is a doll. I have caught her undressing Emma and trying to change her diaper.
Jason and I are doing well. We couldn't be happier. It's so nice to have our own home. We are finally taking a breather from working on the house and just enjoying it. We have only done one "trip" since we got here. We went to downtown Augusta. It is very cute, but a lot smaller than we thought it would be. Jason got to go to the Master's. He won a ticket for $44. Every year the Army does a lottery for Master's tickets. Jason just happened to get his name drawn. He had a wonderful time. He brought back shirts for the girls and I along with a book about the course. From the pictures in it, it is a really beautiful course (and I usually don't care about anything to do with golf). He wants me to go with him next year. I'm going to research how much the tickets cost and we'll see.
Life is good for us all out here. We will be sad when we have to leave. Until then we are going to soak up the southern sun (and food) and have some fun.

Hi Kelly and Jason...

Glad Jason had a good time at the Masters. Jeff and I thought it was a beautiful course too when we were able to attend while living in Augusta. To our knowledge, you can't buy tickets for the Masters. All are spoken for. You either need to know someone who has tickets or put your name in a lottery like Jason did to win tickets. Pretty sure that is still the case. Enjoyed the pictures of the house and the girls and glad ya'll are enjoying life in Jawga (aka Georgia).

Love,
Auntie Susie

Hi Kids,

It was great to get your pictures of the girls and of the house. It looks like you have made your new house it into a home.

I can't believe how much the girls have grown. Two months sure can change things. Give them alot of kisses and hugs from Nana for me.

Miss you greatly and looking forward to seeing you in November. We love you bunches.

Love and hugs, Mom W.
